It´s a house designed as a scene, 1:1 scale covered with sequins. Muñeca´s House is the castle for the princess who still believe prince charming.
The work is completed with the Ready Mades “Conjugal Society”, “Princess Little Shoes” and “Darling, May I Help You?”
A car is totally covered with shining pink sequins. That glamourous bright would cover the pain caused by the marital breakdown. Or at least it would make things look better.
The object - the former family car - is an affective object that recalls that happy/unhappy past time and at the same time witnesses the pain of the loss of the family project.
On the pink fetishization of the object, the author seeks to ironize with the stereotypes of gender related to the mass culture and the Disney's imagery of the 80s.
Line of home appliances covered with sparklings sequins. Designed for the 21st century woman. A modern woman who continues to experience gender discrimination and the sexual division of domestic/salaried work
This work questions those roles assigned to women who drew a female identity linked to filial care and the private, as a mandate of the patriarchy.
It also criticizes the economic dependence to which women are destined, turning them into a "parasite" of man and condemning her to a civic death.
Series of female footwear intervened with sequins, which quote Cinderella`s crystal shoes, or any other princess that girls personified in their childhood with figures such as the Disney Princesses, Cinderella, Snow White or Sleeping Beauty. All of them rescued by a brave and audacious man.
Faced with the non-fulfillment of her own princess story, the author intervenes her own shoes to turn them into those of a princess and idealize the promise of happiness "until the end of time with Prince Charming"
